Welcome to the 2010 Dana Hills Football Season!
Brent Melbon and his staff have done an outstanding job with our student athletes in the off-season and we know it will show in the upcoming season. The sense of discipline that the staff has instilled in these young men is sure to pay off on the football field. We can’t wait for the season opener against Corona Santiago High School.
Building a successful football program requires many people working toward a common goal. We would like to acknowledge the many people that have contributed to making Dana football a success. First, we would like to thank Brent Melbon and his staff for the countless hours that they have put in to prepare for the 2010 season. We would also like to thank our principal, Dr. Nye, and his leadership team of Dian Johnson, Tim Hornig, Cyndie Steinert, and Ken Nedler for their consistent support of Dana Hills athletics. The custodial and grounds crews deserve a special thank you for providing a clean and safe stadium for all to enjoy. We would also like to thank the pep squad and band for enhancing school spirit and supporting our football players. And last, but certainly not least, we would like to thank the 12th Man Club for their support of the program and vision for the future.
We appreciate your positive support of our players and coaches as they pursue victory with honor this year. Together, we will have a great season. GO BLUE!

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Welcome the 2010-2011 football season for the Dana Hills Dolphins. I am confident that this season will be exciting for our students, staff, and community. The athletes and coaches have worked tremendously hard to prepare for the season ahead. I look forward to a successful season for the Dolphins! Coach Melbon and the Dolphins are looking to build upon the past two outstanding seasons. I am very proud of this team and the entire coaching staff. I know that it takes an enormous amount of commitment and dedication to be a student-athlete in high school. I applaud all of the athletes you see this evening and thank them for representing Dana Hills High School so well.
Athletic events give us the opportunity to come together as a Dana Hills family to show our spirit and support. I am grateful to the Board of Trustees and district personnel for their continued support in maintaining our renovated stadium. Thanks to the 12th Man Club volunteers for their countless hours of enthusiastic dedication to the students at DHHS. Tonight’s activities also showcase the hard work and commitment of our marching band, cheerleaders, and colorguard performers. I also want to thank the DHHS staff and parent volunteers who work behind the scenes to assist all of our students. The young men and women you see this evening are outstanding examples of the accomplished and respectful youth who attend Dana Hills High School. As principal I want to thank all of you for attending the games and supporting the Dana Hills Dolphins.
